And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. (Isa 4:6)

Where in The World Are We? and National Park # 4

I know I know, Where ya been girl? Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and more Missouri. We have been here since April and are ready to leave for sure! We are actually about to head "home" to California in the next few weeks. Sweet Home California!  So for now I'll share a little Missouri with y'all. I have a love/hate relationship with Missouri...here is some of the love....the hate is mostly in those lil vampires, ticks that happen to be soooo bad during the summer I am surprised everyone in Missouri has not lost their minds completely.

Ozark National Scenic River ways ( National Parks not in order of visit)  are actually spread out across several cities and multiple campgrounds.
This is a pic of my fav spot Blue Spring, amazing Blue/green water that was actually transparent and you could actually see under the cliff there.

this is one of my son's pics of this wonderful flower at round Spring

Another pic of a flower by my son at Rocky Falls...we had to travel back a few miles on a rough dirt road and that is the benefit of having such a small RV, we can go so many places other men can not go.

Big Screen TV

Our First TV for the RV

This lil baby was on sale for $69 at Target. It is a DVD/TV with an 8 inch screen. My son is hopin to be able to hook his wi to it as well. if he does when we have better internet we may be able to use netflix on the road some. We really don't miss TV much as we didn't watch it much but it is nice to just gel and watch a movie that is honoring to Hashem or a teaching of some sort. This will also give us another option to play our music cd's and will do picture cd's as well. It also leaves the door open for educational videos for both of us students :)...and it is the perfect size for our lil mini house!

Maintenance Instead of Repairs

Oh what a blessing to spend money on maintenance instead of repairs. My very kind brother helped us to change the plugs, wires, rotor, distributor cap, oil, and oil filter on B'racha. She is running good. Funds are low so we have decided to slow our trip out a bit...we will be leaving soon to spend time with my mommy then head out to Missouri as planned but slowly instead. We are currently down with respiratory infections so that is slowing us down quite a bit, but isn't His rest awesome!!!!

1976 Vandura

http://claspics.com/106/450847

Shalom all,

Had to share this with ya'all..this is a rig same year as ours but with a side door so the configuration is different..check out the link and you can see what B'racha used to look like gorgeous wood and retro 70's  my front seats still look like that..now I am inspired to uncover them so wish I could redo B'racha and restore her to her hip state..but she is a blessing ..we have less miles than that one and a bit larger shower..but the gyst of the colors and cupboards would have been the same..the ladder to the overhead bed is now my towel rack :-) please keep her in prayer as she has been smoking and developed a terrible rattle in her chest..smokeing in public is not popular in cali ;-) perhaps some nicorrette will do the trick...or maybe a pcv valve and oil change...please pray that will bring her back to health...our tow hitch and bike rack is also out of commision and will need repairs to move the bikes on with us..last week we had the alternator and a pulley replaced and drained (not planned) the coolant...money tree is right there on the roof...oops it lost it's leaves :-\

Blogaway Test

Shalom all this is really a test for blogaway..to start blogging from my new Android...we've been very blessed this last month but also have had many trials..auto repairs, finances, animals and others... We are very blessed to be parking at afriends so we can make it thru the month! May Abba bless them and keep them and bless the upcoming wedding of their dear daughter!...here are some pics of our adventures..

Craters, Radiators, Model T' RV's... Oh My...& National Park # 3

Made it safe to Cali with a few bumps but many blessings. On the way we stopped and hiked into the Amboy crater. Awesome to actually be inside an old volcano.... as we got out of the car we noticed transmission fluid dripping..a lot...from where it goes into the radiator...transmission cooler. In Amboy gas station they added a quart of transmission fluid for me and we went on our merry way. We got into town late so stayed the night at an RV park and were very blessed by the gentlemen there! They actually fixed my transmission leak in the morning for free, refusing to take any money as that would be a bad example to my son. I would highly reccomend staying at Yucca RV Park if your in the area. My son was also blessed by the manager to hold a piece of a meteor, and stand on the moon...lol actual rocks from the moon. We also spoke with the gentlemen and took pics with a rig that is definitely older than ours... The Dream Camper is actually a Model T Ford RV..sooo cool, with outhouse in tow and all! We also went into Joshua Tree National park and my son did some great bouldering. And of course are spending time with my princess and met her bo....a few other issues, propane again and some blown fuses...but will post again later because starbucks is kicking us out as they say they are out of hot water...closing up...so check back soon to see more.

Speedy Momzales

I am a speedy person, In fact I have 2 speeds, really fast and really slow or stopped. Though not sure my brain ever stops. Perhaps it is just a mom thing, however it does cause stress.

It's Hot! and National Park #1

Last night after the chanukah candles went out my brother and I got to fiddling with the heater/furnace again, thinking it sure seems like it wants to work. We just could not get it to kick in once the pilot was lit. The funny thing was that upon putting the lighter flame near the pilot it would go out.

All In A Days Work

Well today we managed to get the hole under the sink patched, changed some fuses and got back our radio and backup lights, but can't seem to get the running lights working. Attempted to sodder a piece on one of the running lights, that holds the bulb in, but...resorted to duck tape ;-) every single woman's handyman, works great! Went to the RV repair shop and had them check out the propane tank, and made an appt. for them to replace the regulator on it on Friday morning...$165 or prayerfully a bit less. I am trying to run as many appliances as possible to use up the last of the propane so they can do the repair. We also checked power to one of our outlets but I, not being an electrician (but workin on it, lol) could not figure out why it is not working. Checked the fluids in the house battery again because for some reason it boiled over, they were fine. Went to Goodwill and bought a long jean skirt as many of my skirts are just to cool for this time of year. I also brought some books and clothing back out from the house. Hope to be close to packed up by Friday so we can leave Sunday morning to go see my princess and meet her bo before he is deployed. We will have limited internet/phone during some of the time we are out and about as we will do some National Park camping....as long as they will let us stay =O Since we have no other car, our little rig will go with us any time we go into town (unless biking) so we can hit starbucks for internet and we will have phone in town. All in all a good days work, much to do but don't want to wear ourselves out, so we will rest and perhaps pack a bit tonight. I need to spend some time reading and working on schoolwork as well. Getting excited to see my beautiful princess!

I See You

Bought my son a pair of  Barska Binoculars that were on sale at Big 5, $18 regular 79.99. I do not know much about binoculars but my brother has a similar pair and they were great so we decided to nab these while on sale. Unfortunately they had several other things we need (like a heater) on sale but we had to scrounge up the money for these. So thats ok Hashem provides in His timing for the other things. In the mean time He will have binoculars to look at the stars, bird watch, and just general views while we travel.

We were unable to get the propane heater to stay lit, fixed the leak but just won't stay lit, so my plan is to most likely buy a portable big buddy heater that can be used inside, because I know that I will not always have hookups, I already have a portable electric heater for when we do. And actually since this is our only vehicle it may be easier to camp without hookups. Right now I am battling a too cold fridge, during the 120- 130 summer it was not cold enough, lol. There is no food in it right now though, just running it to use up the propane so I can fix the leak on the regulator. Plus wanted to see how it would do in the winter.  I have removed all the fans and the fan outside is off, the fridge is on 1 and I taped up a bit of the vent with duck tape. Perhaps I will turn it off and let it warm then relight because at first I thougt it wasn't cold enough and had it set too high because lo and behold my thermometer was not working and it actually was freezing. I am just blesssed that it is working, I will get it figured out eventually. Excited to hit the road and see my princess soon.

Hebrew Roots or Anti-Hebrew Root

I really have not wanted to make this blog about halachic or doctrinal discussions, I want it to be a place to share our RV journey and  Hebrew Herbal Haven as a place to share my walk in Holistic Medicine from a Biblical perspective...however ..there are somethings in the Hebrew roots and sometimes MJ movement that are disturbing me, so I will share my thoughts. Please take no offense but carefully consider my words and take them to prayer. We as Keepers of The Way must be an example of humility, love, faith, and truth, willing to repent when we are in error, for those in christianity and in Judaism.

Finally ..Tashlich

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
(Mic 7:18-20)
